Thursday, 27 April, was a very special day for the Maddisons Residential team as we headed to The Beacon, Tunbridge Wells, to celebrate 10 years in business. We held a cocktail party as a thank you to staff, business colleagues and property professionals, family, friends and past clients who have supported our growing property sales and lettings agency over the last decade. Read on to hear all about the fabulous evening.

Starting out in residential sales

Maddisons Residential was set up by Deborah Richards, formerly in wealth management at Coutts Bank, to inject a new and progressive approach into the local property sales market, following her own experiences of poor service as a house buyer and seller.

Fast forward 10 years and the business has expanded to incorporate lettings and land and new homes, and proudly become the leading sales estate agent of three-bedroom plus homes in Tunbridge Wells. Last year, we achieved a double-gold standard in both sales and lettings in the Best Estate Agent Guide for 2023, putting us in the top 5% of nationwide sales and lettings agencies. The team has also grown from one to 12 staff!

An evening of celebration

Across the past decade, we have not only accrued a lot of achievements but also, faced a lot of challenges; so, it felt right to celebrate with everyone who has supported us along the way. The cocktail party held within the Dining Room at The Beacon, consisted of delicious canopies, good company and lots of English sparkling wine on arrival, courtesy of Chapel Down.

Raising money for two local charities

Two fabulous local charities, Taylor Made Dreams and West Kent Mind, were supported at the party with our charity prize draw. The winner enjoyed a hamper full of delightful goodies, donated from The Beacon, One Warwick Park, Chapel Down, Mottrams and Eggs Eleven, and ourselves. We matched the donations raised made as a result of the prize draw, and a pleased to say £760 was raised as a result, to be split equally between the charities.

I’m delighted that 10 years later, we’re the number one agent in the town on a lot of measurements and it’s a credit to the whole team that our growth, along with the exceptional experience that we provide for our customers, continues to strengthen our position."
