Situated just outside Tunbridge Wells, Langton Green is a picturesque village with a thriving community and a primary school rated ‘outstanding’. The village pub on the green is a magnet with a wide pull, while the modern village hall and sports pavilion with a bustling café are hubs for parents, friends and dog walkers, as well as community and sports groups. Rusthall, Speldhurst and Groombridge are its neighbouring villages and Tunbridge Wells itself is just a short drive away.

It would be remiss of us to start anywhere else than at the wonderful pub in Langton Green, The Hare. The welcoming atmosphere, fantastic food and brilliant service make it a must visit if you are in the area. Another highlight is Blue India on Langton Road, which serves a wide range of delicious authentic Indian cuisine. Also popular is The Brunch Café on the main road, offering everything from traditional full English to smashed avocado options and a mouth-watering selection of cakes.

Langton has two convenience stores, perfect for when you run out of essentials and a lifeline for many, especially as Angel offers that modern essential: Pick Up Drop Off parcel services. There is also a popular hairdresser’s run by a village resident, while Lullaby Photography will capture pictures of your loved ones that you’ll want to treasure forever.  

Explore the outdoors and get active in Langton Green

Langton Green is entirely surrounded by woods and fields with many walking routes to explore – brilliant for families, dog owners, runners and those who enjoy a pleasant countryside stroll. The village is also home to a thriving village hall, cricket club, a badminton club and the Langton Green Community Sports Association with girls’ and boys’ football teams for all ages. There are also several outdoor exercise classes run on the recreation ground.

Entertain the kids in Langton Green

The lovely, gated playground at the Langton Green Recreation Ground is perfect for toddlers and younger children. For older children, there’s a zip wire, basketball court and outdoor exercise equipment, while the Pavillion Café will keep everyone happy with its coffee, cakes and an impressive lunch menu, as well as indoor and outdoor toys.

There’s plenty of parking at the rec, and The Langton Green Football Fiesta is held here annually early summer.

All Saints, the village church near The Hare, also has lots on offer, including regular Chocolate Church and Chocolate Church Cafés.  

The Langton Green Village Fete

After a two-year absence due to COVID-19 restrictions, the popular Langton Green Village Fete returns on the 2nd July 2022. Always a hit with locals, this year’s edition includes a variety of music and dance acts, a huge raffle with lots of prizes to be won from a variety of local businesses and services and several food and drink stalls – all with a theme based around the 1950’s.
